Welcome to the Magnesium Supplementation website. This website will teach you about magnesium supplementation and its many benefits. You will learn about the different body and brain functions that are dependent on magnesium, and how deficiency impacts these functions. Finally, I will share my personal experience with supplementation and provide some tips and tricks I’ve learned that have helped me and my family to improve our overall mental and physical health.

Magnesium deficiency is not uncommon

On a global level magnesium deficiency is not uncommon. People living in developing countries commonly suffer from deficiencies resulting in physical and psychological health issues ranging from weakness and fatigue to more serious issues such as neuropathy and brain dysfunction.

People are not surprised when I tell them about magnesium deficiency in the developing world, it’s fairly well-known than in developing countries people suffer from malnutrition and lack of access to adequate medical care. What people are surprised about is when I tell them that magnesium deficiency is more common in first world countries now that ever before. Why is that? It has a lot to do with declining nutritional value of food.

Nutrition values are on the decline for a number of reason, but primarily due to two common factors. The first is an increased consumption of processed food with little to no nutritional value. The second is due to decreased vitamin and mineral concentrations in produce (fruits and vegetables) due to depleted soil nutrient values.

All to say magnesium values are at all time lows, people are starting to feel the physical effects, and it’s time to change the way we eat and take charge of our own health through supplementation.

Let me start by saying, I am not a medical doctor, nor am I a medical practitioner of any type. What I am is a well researched consumer, someone who has personally experienced magnesium deficiency, and a parent of children with improved neurological outcomes due to magnesium supplementation.

I want to share what I have learned, including my personal experience before and after supplementation, in the hopes that my research and testimony can help others so more people can start feeling better faster. I encourage anyone who feels they have a deficiency to confirm it with their physician or naturopathic practitioner before starting a supplementation regimen of any type. Over supplementation can have as negative an effect as a deficiency.
